Individual Therapy in Leeds, York and Online

Bright Room

You Don't Have to Carry It Alone

Many people come to therapy after spending months—or even years—trying to cope on their own.

You may appear to be managing on the outside, whilst internally feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps anxiety has become a constant companion, past experiences continue to affect you, or you find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.

Therapy offers a space where you can pause, reflect and begin to understand what you need.

Reasons People Come to Therapy

People seek therapy for many different reasons. Some of the issues I commonly work with include:

Anxiety and Overwhelm

When your mind feels constantly busy, you struggle to switch off, or everyday life feels harder than it should.

Trauma and Difficult Life Experiences

Whether you've experienced a single traumatic event or the impact of difficult experiences over time, therapy can help you process and make sense of what has happened.

Burnout and Stress

When the demands of work, family or life leave you feeling emotionally exhausted and depleted.

Low Self-Esteem and Self-Criticism

When you find yourself doubting your worth, second-guessing your decisions or feeling that you're never quite enough.

Relationship Difficulties

Exploring patterns in relationships, improving boundaries and understanding how past experiences may be influencing the present.

Life Transitions and Loss

Support through change, uncertainty, grief and major life events.

My Approach

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, compassionate and tailored to you.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy because every person brings their own experiences, strengths and challenges.

My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you as we explore what is happening, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck and help you move towards meaningful change.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR where appropriate, to support your individual needs.

Who I Often Work With

Many of my clients are:

  • Professionals experiencing stress or burnout

  • People who have spent years putting others first

  • Parents and carers carrying significant responsibilities

  • Individuals struggling with anxiety or self-doubt

  • Adults processing trauma or difficult life experiences

Often, they have become so used to coping that they struggle to recognise how much they are carrying.
